Our story
Panasia was started up in 2006 by husband and wife Paul and Pimvalee and their two teenage children. We decided to specialise in a varied menu of Thai and Chinese as Pim had the required experience and knowledge gained from her Thai mother and Chinese father who ran a restaurant in Thailand for 35 years and secondly we enjoyed cooking and eating all kinds of Asian food so we wanted to bring that concept to our takeaway. At Panasia you can order for example a Shanghai Noodles, a Pad Thai and a Mee Goreng and enjoy real variety with your takeaways. This concept proved successful as once customers realised that the standard of preparation and authenticity was high we have been lucky enough to enjoy a loyal customer base over the years.
One important thing that we would like you to know about us is that we CARE about the food we sell, we don't eat rubbish and we don't expect you to eat it either. That's why we put a lot of effort in ensuring that our standard of hygiene, preparation and cooking is as you would expect if you were cooking for your own family at home. Freshness is a genuine strength for us as we do not pre-cook anything except for very quick blanching of some vegetables
Today we continue to work hard at improving our Asian cuisine as Parnell is not a big area but there are over 80 restaurants within a 1km strip so the focus has to be on constantly improving and creating new dishes that keeps customers interested and coming back. The best advantage we feel of offering a Panasian menu is that we are not restricted to just Thai or Chinese and can put on the menu any new Asian dish that we know will be enjoyed by our customers.
We have also offered an Auckland takeaway delivery service since we opened and are now expanding this service to include food delivery to Auckland City, Remuera, Newmarket and other local neighbourhoods so if you haven't tried us yet give us a call or order online and we can bring the food to your door.
